The Shuffle Aires
The Shuffle-Aires began the early 80s, playing their distinctive blend of Chicago style blues, surf, and rockabilly, throughout the Midwest. Their hard work and dedication paid off with devoted fans throughout the Milwaukee and Chicago area.

As lead guitarist/harmonica/bass player, Al Ek's reputation grew, including a stint recording and performing with Milwaukee roots band, The Spanic Boys (David Letterman, Saturday Night Live), Al was soon called to the city of entertainment, Las Vegas, for a two year run as Elwood Blues in the long running production show 'American Superstars'. He was joined in the show by veteran Milwaukee blues pianist, Junior Brantley, portraying 'Little Richard'.

Juniors credits include: Sonny Boy Williamson, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jimmy Vaughan and The Tilt-a-whirl Band, and Roomfull of Blues. American Superstars show is where Al and Junior met veteran drummer, Jim Lovgren from Sanger, California. Rounding out the band is St. Louis blues guitar, great Johnny Z (Zaroya).

The Shuffle-Aires have enjoyed playing a multitude of major entertainment venues throughout the Las Vegas area, including special events, casino showrooms, conventions, and a variety of city and county government functions. The band was also featured on the E! Entertainment Channel, and the Travel Channel's episode on 'Vegas Highrollers', with the great Jim Belushi on harmonica. You can also hear the Shuffle-Aires on recordings, backing up a string of Rockabilly artists on the infamous 'Rolling Rock' label. Including Sun Records pioneer, Marvel Felts.
